How we compared
Every figure comes from the host's own pricing page and terms, with a source link and the date we checked it. We do not estimate missing figures. Hosts will be graded with the fixed weights on our methodology page, but that scoring is not finished, so this page shows no grades or ranking. This page is about hosting for WooCommerce stores. For hosting in general, see our ecommerce hosting overview.

Kinsta
Kinsta Launch lists 15 GB and about 75,000 visits a month for $35. The first month is listed as $0 on monthly billing. Read the Kinsta review for the limits and terms.
WP Engine
WP Engine's first annual year is $336 for one site, against a listed regular price of $420. Its 3-site tier lists 75,000 visits and 15 GB for $65 a month. Read the WP Engine review for the details.
Cloudways
Cloudways lists Object Cache Pro as free on servers with 4GB of RAM or more, from $54 a month in our data. Its servers start at $14 a month. Read the Cloudways review for every plan we recorded.
Plan limits that matter for a WooCommerce store
[Human check: these plain-language definitions need a source link each, such as the WooCommerce documentation or the host's own help pages, before publishing.]
- Storage is the disk space for your files, such as product images. Each host defines what counts toward it.
- Visits are a monthly traffic allowance. The hosts we recorded give it as an estimate, and some do not state it at all.
- PHP workers are the processes that run store requests, such as cart and checkout, that usually cannot be served from a cache. More workers let more of those requests run at once. None of the hosts we recorded states them for its entry plans.
- Object caching keeps the results of common database queries in memory so the store does less repeat work.
- Backups and staging let you restore an earlier state of the site and test changes before they go live. Compare how long backups are kept.
Best WooCommerce hosting: how to choose by store situation
WooCommerce hosting plans for a small store
Start with your numbers: how many gigabytes of files your store holds and how many visits you expect. Kinsta lists 15 GB on Launch, and WP Engine lists 10 GB on its 1-site tier.
Best hosting company for WooCommerce: what to ask
We do not name one yet. Ask each host what it counts as a visit, whether it limits PHP workers, how long it keeps backups, and what the price becomes at renewal.
Hosting for a store that is growing
Cloudways lets you move through server sizes, with storage from 25 GB to 400 GB across the plans we recorded. Kinsta and WP Engine also sell larger plans, which we have not recorded in full.
Decision guide by store size and platform
| If your WooCommerce store needs | Look at | Because the listed figures show |
|---|---|---|
| One store, up to 10 GB of files | WP Engine 1 site or Kinsta Launch | Both list $35/month; Launch lists 15 GB and WP Engine 10 GB |
| Between 10 and 15 GB of files | Kinsta Launch, or WP Engine 3 sites | Both list 15 GB, at $35/month and $65/month |
| Several sites on one plan | WP Engine 3 sites | 3 sites, 75,000 estimated visits, 15 GB, $65/month |
| Object caching included | Cloudways, 4GB servers and up | Free on 4GB of RAM or more, from $54/month |

What WooCommerce hosting costs after year one
We use one method for every host: listed prices, unchanged, with no tax and no promotions. Where an annual first year is discounted, later years use the listed regular price.
| Plan | Year one | Three years |
|---|---|---|
| Kinsta Launch, billed monthly | $385 | $1,225 |
| Kinsta Launch, billed annually | $350 | $1,050 |
| WP Engine 1 site, billed monthly | $420 | $1,260 |
| WP Engine 1 site, billed annually | $336 | $1,176 |
| Cloudways Basic Micro | $168 | $504 |
| Cloudways Basic Medium | $648 | $1,944 |
These plans list different limits, so the totals buy different things. Cloudways bills extra for offsite backup storage, and WP Engine says renewal pricing is subject to change. Check each host before you buy.

Common questions
What is WooCommerce hosting?
WooCommerce hosting is hosting used to run WooCommerce, the WordPress plugin that adds an online shop. Hosts may label a plan as WooCommerce hosting or simply WordPress hosting, so compare the limits that matter for a store, such as storage, visits and backups, rather than relying on the label alone.
How much does WooCommerce hosting cost?
In the three hosts we have recorded, entry plans list from $14 a month at Cloudways to $35 a month at Kinsta and WP Engine. Larger plans cost more. Prices are in US dollars, exclude tax, and several rise after the first term, so check the price after year one.
Which limits matter most for a WooCommerce store?
Check storage against your product images and files, the visit allowance, and backup retention. Also look for PHP workers and object caching, which hosts describe differently. None of the three hosts we recorded states PHP workers for its entry plans, so ask each host before you buy if your store has busy checkouts.
