Bluehost review verdict
This Bluehost review is based on the host's public plan pages, checked 2026-10-27. It is not based on hands-on testing. Bluehost's eCommerce Essentials plan may suit a store owner who wants WooCommerce installed with store plugins included, at $14.99 a month on a 36-month term. Look elsewhere if you want a price close to the starting price: Essentials renews at $21.99 a month.
Bluehost plans and prices
These are Bluehost's WordPress hosting plans on the 36-month term. The page also has Monthly and 1 Year price tabs that we have not recorded, and an Enterprise and Custom option that is sold by contacting Bluehost. The page showed "Holiday Savings Applied", so these starting prices may be promotional.
| Plan | Intro price | Renews at | Visits / mo | Storage | PHP workers |

| Starter (10 websites) | $3.99/month | $9.99/month | ~40,000 (Bluehost's guide figure) | 10 GB | not stated by host |
| Business (50 websites) | $6.99/month | $13.99/month | ~200,000 (Bluehost's guide figure) | 50 GB | not stated by host |
| eCommerce Essentials (100 websites) | $14.99/month | $21.99/month | ~400,000 (Bluehost's guide figure) | 100 GB | not stated by host |

"Intro price" is the price shown for the 36-month term and "renews at" is Bluehost's renewal price, both per month. Each plan allows several sites: Starter 10, Business 50 and eCommerce Essentials 100, with storage shared across them. The visit figures are Bluehost's "ideal for" guide, not a stated limit.
eCommerce Premium is on Bluehost's WooCommerce hosting page at $21.99 a month on a 36-month term, renewing at $30.99. It adds gift cards, bookings, product add-ons, points and rewards, wishlists and advanced reviews. That page shows no storage or visit figure for Premium, so we leave them blank. What these limits mean for a store
Take an illustrative store with 40,000 visits a month and 12 GB of product images and files. These numbers are an example, not a recommendation.
- Starter lists 10 GB and an "ideal for" figure of about 40,000 visits. The example store's 12 GB does not fit in 10 GB.
- Business lists 50 GB and about 200,000 visits, so the example store is inside both figures.
- eCommerce Essentials lists 100 GB and about 400,000 visits. Bluehost's WooCommerce page also says "unlimited products and media storage", which does not match the 100 GB on the WordPress page. [Human check: confirm which storage figure is correct for Essentials.]
Bluehost does not state PHP workers on these pages. Check how it counts storage and visits before relying on these figures.

What Bluehost costs over three years
We use the same method on every host: listed prices, unchanged, with no tax and no promotions. On a 36-month term the starting price covers the whole three years.
| Plan | How it is worked out | Three-year total |
|---|---|---|
| Starter (10 websites) | 36 months at $3.99 | $143.64 |
| Business (50 websites) | 36 months at $6.99 | $251.64 |
| eCommerce Essentials (100 websites) | 36 months at $14.99 | $539.64 |
The total is paid up front for the 36-month term. After it, eCommerce Essentials renews at $21.99 a month. We have not recorded Bluehost's terms of service, so we cannot say how renewal prices are set. [Human check: save Bluehost's terms and confirm the renewal and auto-renewal wording.]

Store features
| Backups | Weekly website backups |
|---|---|
| Staging | WordPress staging site |
| SSL | Free SSL (Let's Encrypt) |
| Object cache | Object caching |
| PHP workers | not stated by host |
The plan cards say weekly backups, while the FAQ on the same page says daily off-site backups. [Human check: confirm the backup frequency on the live page.]

Support, refunds and cancellation
Every plan lists 24/7 chat support. Phone support is listed as not included on Starter and included on Business and eCommerce Essentials. [Human check: support details are not in the data files yet.]
Bluehost lists a 30-day money-back guarantee. The refund text on the page says it does not apply to services with a monthly term, domain registration fees, setup fees or fees for additional services, and that it is valid for credit card payments only. [Human check: the pasted refund text was cut off. Read the full policy and confirm the conditions.]
The page also gives two uptime figures: a 99.99% SLA in the headline and 99.9% in the FAQ. [Human check: confirm which uptime figure applies.]

Where Bluehost falls short
- The renewal price is 2.5 times the starting price on Starter and 1.47 times on eCommerce Essentials (pricing page).
- The starting prices were shown with a holiday promotion applied, so they may not last (pricing page).
- The page is inconsistent on backup frequency, uptime and storage, and does not state PHP workers (pricing page, WooCommerce page).
