InMotion Hosting review verdict
This InMotion Hosting review is based on the host's public plan pages, checked 2026-10-27. It is not based on hands-on testing. InMotion's shared WordPress plans may suit a store owner who wants a lot of storage, and a stated number of PHP workers per site, at a low starting price. Look elsewhere if you want a price that stays close to the starting price: WP Launch goes from $5.49 to $14.49 a month at renewal.

"Intro price" is InMotion's "starting at" price and "renews at" is its renewal price, both per month. Plan names show the number of sites each plan supports: 2 websites, 10 websites, 40 websites. [Human check: on the page, the 1-year price is lower than the 2- and 3-year price for each plan. Confirm that this is correct and not a display error.]
What these limits mean for a store
Take an illustrative store with 40,000 visits a month and 12 GB of product images and files. These numbers are an example, not a recommendation.
- Every plan lists at least 100 GB of NVMe storage, so 12 GB of files fits comfortably on all three.
- WP Launch lists about 170,000 suitable monthly visitors and 3 PHP workers per site, so on InMotion's own figures the example store is well inside its range.
"Suitable monthly visitors" is InMotion's approximation, and storage is shared across the sites on a plan. Check how InMotion counts both before relying on these figures.

What InMotion Hosting costs over three years
We use the same method on every host: listed prices, unchanged, with no tax and no promotions. An intro price applies for the whole prepaid term, and the renewal price applies after it.
| WP Launch | How it is worked out | Three-year total |
|---|---|---|
| 3-year term | 36 months at $5.49 | $197.64 |
| 1-year term | 12 months at $5.29, then 24 at $15.49 | $435.24 |
| 1-month term | first month $16.49, then 35 at $17.49 | $628.64 |
The 3-year total is paid up front, and after that term WP Launch renews at $14.49 a month. InMotion's terms say renewals use its then-current rates, which may be higher or lower.

Support, refunds and cancellation
InMotion's pricing page lists chat and ticket support on WP Launch, and phone, chat and ticket support on WP Power and WP Pro. [Human check: support details are not in the data files yet.]
The pricing page lists a 90-day money-back guarantee, valid for plans of six months and longer. It also says the regular price of the free domain is deducted from a refund, and that the free domain needs a 12, 24 or 36-month plan. InMotion's terms of service say all amounts are non-refundable unless the guarantee applies, and that products renew automatically for a period equal to the most recent term unless you turn renewal off. [Human check: read the guarantee terms and confirm which plans and terms they cover.]

Where InMotion Hosting falls short
- The renewal price is 2.6 times the starting price on WP Launch's 3-year term, and $14.49 a month after it (pricing page).
- Paying month to month is the most expensive option, at $16.49 a month for WP Launch, and the money-back guarantee does not cover plans shorter than six months (pricing page).
- Object caching is not stated for these plans, and we have not recorded InMotion's VPS or managed plans (pricing page).
